Four measurements. Every shaft. No sampling.

Deflection

A fixed load on a 28" span, read on a dial indicator to 0.001", at several orientations around the shaft. This is the number that decides whether a shaft qualifies for a ±0.001" pool (0 Kelvin+, Apex, Pinnacle) or a ±0.003" pool (0 Kelvin). Shafts outside both go to the reject bin: club demo sets and practice arrows, never a matched dozen.

Weight

Every shaft on a grain scale to 0.1 grain. ±0.001" pools hold ±0.5 grain across the dozen; 0 Kelvin pools ±1.0 grain. A three-grain spread is a vertical stringing problem at 50 m, which is why the number is printed rather than promised.

Index

Carbon is never uniformly stiff around its circumference. We find the stiff side and mark it, so every nock in your dozen can be aligned the same way in two minutes.

Cluster

The matching model plots all of the above at once, reduces it to the directions that explain most of the variation (principal component analysis), and selects the twelve closest arrows for your discipline. Your certificate shows each arrow's cluster score.

Traceability

Every shaft has an ID; every measurement is logged against it with instrument, operator and timestamp; every dozen has a release record. If you call about arrow 7, we can pull its numbers. The lab is run the way clinical laboratories run quality control, because that is where our founder learned it.

Optics, stabilisers and training gear are checked by us before dispatch too; arrows get the closest look.
